Alcimosphenus is a monotypic genus of Caribbean long-jawed orb-weavers containing the single species, Alcimosphenus licinus. It was first described by Eugène Louis Simon in 1895,[2] and is found in the Caribbean.[1] It was transferred to the Araneidae in 1951,[3] but was returned here in 2005.[4]
