Alophonotus is a monotypic moth genus in the family Cossidae. Alophonotus rauana, the sole species in the genus, is found in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Senegal, South Africa , South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zimbabwe.[1]
