Aponotoreas anthracias is a moth of the family Geometridae.[2] It is endemic to New Zealand. This species was first described by Edward Meyrick in 1883.

Taxonomy

This species was first described by Edward Meyrick in 1883 under the name Larentia anthracias.[3] The male lectotype specimen, collected near Lake Wakatipu by Meyrick, is held at the Natural History Museum, London.[4]

Distribution

A. anthracias is endemic to New Zealand.[5] Specimens of this species have been collected in the Maungatua ranges,[6] the Remarkables[7] and the Hawkdun Ecological District in Otago.[8]

Host species

The host plant of this moth is Dracophyllum.[7]
