Aspergillus christenseniae is a species of fungus in the genus Aspergillus. It is from the Cervini section.[1] The species was first described in 2016.[1] It has been reported to produce 4-hydroxymellein, terremutin, orange-red anthraquinone, and chlorflavonin.[1] The species was named for Martha Christensen.[2]

Growth and morphology

A. christenseniae has been cultivated on both Czapek yeast extract agar (CYA) plates and Malt Extract Agar Oxoid® (MEAOX) plates. The growth morphology of the colonies can be seen in the pictures below.
