Families
There are two families within the Aulostomoidea and they are:[1]
These extinct families are also known:[2][3]
- Family †Eekaulostomidae (possibly in the Syngnathoidea instead)[3]
- Family †Fistularioididae
- Family †Parasynarcualidae
- Family †Urosphenidae
Other authorities subsume the Aulostomoidea into the "long-snouted clade" which makes up the suborder Syngnathoidei .[4]
