Coprophanaeus pluto is a species of dung beetle in the family Scarabaeidae.[1][2][3] It is found in Guatemala, Mexico and southernmost Texas (records from southernmost Arizona are doubtful); it is the only species of Coprophanaeus in the United States.[3][4] This black beetle feeds on carrion and typically is 1.8–2.8 cm (0.7–1.1 in) long.[3]
