Cortinarius subrubrovelatus is a species of fungus in the large mushroom genus Cortinarius (subgenus Phlagmacium). It was described as new to science in 2008 as a variety of Cortinarius glaucopus,[1] but raised to distinct species status in 2014. The mushroom is found in Central and northern Europe, where it grows in coniferous forests.[2]
