Diplacodes melanopsis is a species of dragonfly in the family Libellulidae[3][4] known commonly as the blackfaced percher[5] or black-faced percher.[6] It occurs on the Australia n mainland from around Brisbane to the South Australian-Victorian border.[7]
Diplacodes melanopsis is a small dragonfly. Mature males have a black face and front of its body, and a red abdomen with black markings;[8] females are amber and yellow with black markings.
