Enterocloster lavalensis, formerly Clostridium lavalense is an anaerobic, motile, spore-forming, rod-shaped, gram-positive bacterium first isolated from human feces.[2] The epithet "lavalense" refers to the institution, Université Laval, Québec, Canada .
