Gentianella profusa is a species of plant in the Gentianaceae family. It is endemic to Ecuador. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical high-altitude shrubland.

It is also known as Spreading Gentian. It is a plant that grows up to 40 cm tall. It can be used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a medicinal plant for treating digestive and respiratory problems.[2]

Its flower is a small, star-shaped bloom that is usually white or pale pink in color. The seed is a small, black, oval-shaped seed. The seedlings are small, with a single stem and a few small leaves. [3]
