Glaphyromorphus darwiniensis, also known commonly as Darwin's ground skink and the northern mulch-skink, is a species of lizard in the family Scincidae. The species is endemic to Australia .

Etymology

The specific name, darwiniensis, refers to the city of Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia.[2]

Geographic range

G. darwiniensis is found in Northern Territory and Western Australia.[1]

Habitat

The preferred natural habitat of G. darwiniensis is forest.[3]

Behavior

G. darwiniensis is terrestrial and fossorial.[3]

Reproduction

G. darwiniensis is oviparous.[1]
