Hyporhamphus collettei is a halfbeak from the family Hemiramphidae.[2]

The specific name honours the United States ichthyologist Bruce Baden Collette.[3]

Found along the Western Atlantic, it is endemic to the nearshore marine waters of Bermuda.[4][2]
