Loricariichthys derbyi,[1] commonly known as Cari,[2] is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae. It is endemic to Brazil, where it occurs in the Jaguaribe River basin. The species reaches 24.9 centimetres (9.8 in) in total length, can weigh up to at least 161 grams (5.7 oz), and is believed to be a facultative air-breather.[3]
