Microlophus stolzmanni, also known commonly as Stolzmann's Pacific iguana, is a species of South American lava lizard in the family Tropiduridae. The species is endemic to Peru.

Etymology

The specific name, stolzmanni, is in honor of Polish zoologist Jean Stanislas Stolzmann.[3]

Geographic range

Microlophus stolzmanni is found in northern Peru.[2]

Habitat

The preferred natural habitat of M. stolzmanni is forest, at altitudes of 400–1,900 m (1,300–6,200 ft).[1]

Reproduction

M. stolzmanni is oviparous. Females reach sexual maturity at a snout-to-vent length (SVL) of 6.5 cm (2.6 in). Clutch size is 3–4 eggs.[2]
