The Palawan flowerpecker (Prionochilus plateni) is a species of bird in the family Dicaeidae. It is endemic to the Philippines .
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest.
The scientific name commemorates the German zoologist Carl Constantin Platen.
