Percocypris pingi is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Cyprinidae, the family which includes the carps, barbs and related fishes.[2] It inhabits Yunnan, China[1][3] and possibly Laos and Myanmar.[1] It has a maximum length of 44.0 centimetres (17.3 in)[3] and is considered harmless to humans.[3] It is used for food both locally and nationally.[1]
