Rupirana cardosoi is a species of frog in the family Leptodactylidae.[2] It is monotypic within the genus Rupirana.[3] It is endemic to northern Espinhaço Mountains, Bahia, Brazil .[2] Its natural habitats are banks of small streams in high-altitude (about 1,200 m (3,900 ft) asl) grassy vegetation. It is threatened by habitat loss. Part of the range is within the Chapada Diamantina National Park.[1]
