Selenipedium dodsonii is a species of flowering plant in the orchid family native to Ecuador,[2] where it grows near rivers in rainforest.[1] It was first described in 2015,[3] and is named after Calaway Dodson. Selenipedium dodsonii is an endangered species,[1] and is listed in Annex II to the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).[4] Plants grow up to 3 m (9.8 ft) tall, and between April and November produce small flowers.[5]
