Styriofelis is an extinct genus of Felidae known from the Miocene of Europe.[1]
Taxonomy
Miopanthera was considered a distinct genus by several authors (e.g. Beaumont 1964; Ginsburg 2002), but is now considered a junior synonym of Styriofelis.[2] "Styriofelis" vallesiensis from the late Miocene of Spain has been renamed Leptofelis.[3]
