Tarentola fogoensis (English name: Fogo wall gecko) is a species of geckos in the family Phyllodactylidae. The species is endemic to the Cape Verde Islands, where it is found on the island of Fogo.[1] The species was named by Hans Hermann Schleich in 1984.
Etymology
The specific name is named after the island where it occurs (Fogo + Latin suffix: -ensis = -ian, sometimes -an, of Fogo).[1]
