Yasykovia is a genus of ophthalmosaurid ichthyosaur, an extinct group of reptiles that resembled dolphins. It was formerly synonymised with Ophthalmosaurus.[2] The type species, Yasykovia kabanovi, was once considered a species of Ophthalmosaurus. Two other possible species, Y. mittai and Y. sumini, also exist.[1]
