Alterite (IMA symbol: Atr[1]) is a yellow-green mineral with the chemical formula Zn2Fe3+4(SO4)4(C2O4)2(OH)4·17H2O. Its type locality is Coconino County, Arizona.[2] It is found exclusively in logs that have mineralized.
