Joy e-bike is an Indian two-wheeler electric vehicle manufacturer. It was founded by Yatin Gupte in 2016 and its headquarters Vadodara, Gujarat, India . Currently, it operates in the electric vehicle retailer sector in multiple countries, including India, Uganda, and Nepal.[1][2][3][4] It is owned by the Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility.[5][6]

History

It was established in 2016 in Vadodara, Gujarat. April 2021 Joy e-bike announced a partnership with the IPL franchise team Chennai Super Kings during the 2021 season. This collaboration aims to support environmentally friendly resources and sustainable lifestyle choices.[7][8]

In July 2021, Joy e-Bike has introduced the 'Joy e-Connect' mobile app. This app operates on a cloud-based platform and provides functionalities including remote control of the vehicle, navigation assistance, battery status updates, geo-fence notifications, analysis of trips, and data related to environmental preservation.[9] [10][11]

According to Financial Express, In October 2021, Joy E-Bike experienced a 502% sales compared to the same period in the prior year. The company sold 2,855 electric scooters and motorcycles during that month.[12]

In 2022, Joy e-bike become the official Powered By sponsor for the India Tour of Ireland 2022 cricket series. As part of this collaboration, awards such as the 'Joy E-Bike Electrifying Powered By' Man of the series and the 'Joy E Bike Electrifying super 6’s' were presented.[13]

In 2022, Joy e-bike, has introduced three models of electric scooters in India: Wolf+, Gen Next Nanu+, and Del Go. [14] [15]

In January 2023, Joy E bike unveiled the Mihos electric scooter at Auto Expo 2023 in Greater Noida. According to Livemint, The model provides connectivity via Joy E-connect app for remote control, battery monitoring, reverse mode, GPS, and anti-theft functions.[16][17] [18]

In July 2023, Joy e-bike opened 12 new showrooms across 7 Indian states, including Maharashtra, Odisha, Delhi, Bihar, Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh. [1] [17]

In 2023, Joy e-bike entered into a partnership with the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards 2023, to focus on raising awareness about sustainability and the adoption of environmentally friendly practices.[19]

On April 4, 2023, Joy e-bike appointed Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan as their brand ambassadors.[20]

In 2023, Joy e-bike partnered with the India Tour of Ireland 2023 as its title sponsor, naming the tournament the 'Joy e-bike Cup.[21]
