Ranketta was founded in 2025 by Vojtěch Oravec, a researcher and software engineer.[5][4] Prior to founding the company, Oravec conducted research at the Czech Technical University (CTU) at the Czech Institute of Informatics, Robotics and Cybernetics (CIIRC) in the group of Tomáš Mikolov. Oravec also previously served as a product manager at Henry Schein.[6][2]

The concept for Ranketta emerged from Oravec’s observation that brands lacked measurable insight into how their products appear in recommendations generated by large language models. The project initially focused on increasing visibility but later shifted toward measurement and analytics of how specific products appear in AI-generated recommendations.[7]

In November 2025, the company announced a €1 million pre-seed funding round led by Lighthouse Ventures with participation from Gi21 Capital.[1][8] The capital was raised to fund expansion into the US market, grow the engineering team, and develop integrations with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify.[2][9]
