Hanging Snakes Cave (Spanish: Cueva de las Serpientes Colgantes) is a natural limestone cave located near the village of Kantemó in the municipality of José María Morelos, Quintana Roo, Mexico.[1][2][3][4] It is known for a behavior observed in yellow-red rat snakes (Pseudelaphe flavirufa),[5][6][7] which position themselves on the cave ceiling to prey on bats as they exit the cave during the evening.[8][9]
