The Horch 8 was a series of luxury vehicles produced by Auto Union from 1926 to 1935, as the company's successor to the earlier Horch 10 sedans. The vehicle was styled by Paul Daimler, with an appearance similar to that of the Vauxhall 30-98 and Studebaker Light Six vehicles.
In 1928 the vehicles received a 4-liter engine with an output of around 80 hp. Until 1930 these vehicles had the Type 350 and Type 375 index, but that was soon changed in 1931 when their index changed to Type 400 or Type 405. Two Horch 830 models were exhibited at the Paris Motor Show in 1930.[1] Around 11,000-12,000 vehicles were produced up to 1935, when production eventually ended, with these vehicles being replaced by the Horch 830 series.
