Twin engine UAV

This twin engine UAV is the first UAV developed by IDEAS, a Chinese company that specializes in industrial design. This UAV utilizes commercial off-the-shelf subsystems, which are integrated together by IDEAS. The existence of IDEAS' twin engine UAV was revealed to the public in November 2013 in Chongqing when it won a silver medal in Yangtze Cup International Industrial Design competition, and it has since been deployed for aerial survey missions in disaster evaluation.[1] IDEAS' twin engine UAV is a fixed wing UAV in twin boom layout with high wing configuration and tricycle landing gear. A most obvious feature of this UAV is that it is one of the few Chinese UAVs with two engines, both of which are driven by a two-blade propeller. One of the engines is a pusher engine mounted at the rear of the fuselage, and the other is a tractor engine mounted in the nose of the fuselage.[2]
