The physical plane, physical world, or physical universe refers, in emanationist metaphysics such as are found in Neoplatonism, Hermeticism, Hinduism and Theosophy, to the ordinarily perceptible realm of space and time, energy and matter. In such systems of occult and esoteric cosmology, the physical universe is the lowest or densest of a series of planes of existence.
