Physics:Multi-mode wireless terminal

From HandWiki

A multi-mode terminal is a receiver in vehicles that can download communication and application software by wireless technology and then easily access new services without purchasing additional new equipment, even if a relevant services/communication system is modified or newly introduced. Such technology includes:

1- Technology to develop multi-band antennae and RF circuits which can transmit/receive RF signals through various media with different frequencies.

2- Technology to adaptively modulate and demodulate signals for various kinds of media (DSRC, VICS, terrestrial digital broadcast and others) with software processing.

3- Technology to efficiently receive data within a mobile communications environment.

Multi-band high-frequency radio technology

  • Automobile-mounted multi-band antennas using ceramics with advanced thermal properties and broadband antennae to provide a flexible correspondence to different forms of media.
  • Multi-band RF circuits which are adaptable to several frequency bands and channel bandwidths for various media.

Software defined radio technology

  • Adaptable modems compatible with various forms of media using wireless downloading of software.
  • Adaptive modems that change the modulation scheme depending on radio propagation conditions and linearization technology.
  • Software demodulation technology for digital broadcasts to provide a common platform for all types of services.

Multi-mode signal processing technology

  • This technology will enable stable mobile communication by selecting appropriate media and controlling data transmission, in conformity with data on the field strength of the available communication media, and the attributes of the incoming content.
