Bitrix24 is a collaboration platform that provides a complete suite of social collaboration, communication, and management tools. Its main solutions include social network, tasks and projects, CRM, document management, file sharing, calendar and planning, sales team management, email, telephone, video calls, and HR management. Bitrix24 is designed mainly for companies and small businesses but also suits remote teams.

History

Founded by CEO Sergey Ryzhikov and four fellow Russian businessmen in 1998, Bitrix24 was originally called just “Bitrix.” Their first product was “Bitrix Intranet,” but as the platform moved from old school proprietary to cloud-based SaaS, it was rebranded Bitrix24. The first version of Bitrix24 was launched in 2012 and, as of October 2020, has over eight million registered users.

Product

Bitrix24 is a unified collaboration platform with task and project management, CRM, contact center, and website builder modules. It can be deployed on the cloud or self-hosted on-premise. The integrated software provides an assortment of essential business tools that cover important processes , including:

• workgroups (projects) with tasks, calendars, files, wiki, photo gallery, and conversations;
• company services such as visual structure, absence chart, task and work time reporting, employee directory;
• time management tools with check-in/-out mechanism, daily planner, and regular work reports;
• time planning feature with calendars, event scheduler, and meeting manager (with Outlook and CalDAV sync)
• document libraries with flexible permission systems, versioning, and WebDAV support;
• social search that covers all system objects including uploaded documents, tasks, and events;
• CRM with email integration and visual business process construction tools.
