Dragomon Hunter was a free-to-play anime style MMORPG developed by X-Legend and published In Western European languages by Aeria Games. Dragomon Hunter launched its Closed Beta in North America and Europe in both English and French on October 15, 2015.[3]
Dragomon Hunter also features built-in controller support,[4] meaning that gamers can use a gamepad to play.
Gameplay
The MMORPG is set in the world of Wyveria, where Dragomon have ruled for a very long time. Scientific research uncovered that crystals found on defeated Dragomon are a source of great prosperity. The game begins when the player joins the Order of the Falcon with the aim of defeating and collecting Dragomon to gain wealth via the crystals 'Dragoncite' found on the defeated Dragomon.[5]
Game Classes
Players can choose one of four classes to play with:
- Cleric - The cleric heals allies with magic and has offensive skills that are dolled out via a hammer or cestus.
- Mage - The mage uses staves and hunting horns to attack their enemies.
- Mercenary - The mercenary has access to a variety of axes and swords.
- Scout - Best known for speed, the scout uses dual blades and rifles.[6]
Companions
In Dragomon Hunter, players have companions that are called 'Hoppalongs'. Hoppalongs have their own classes and skills. There are eight available classes for Hoppalongs: Salamander, Acolyte, Virtuoso, Strategist, Cleaver, Brawler, Mystic, Assassin or Zealot.
For a player to get the most out of their companions, they must find the most effective class combination between hunter and Hoppalong.[7]
