K9.5: The Tail-Wag Tour is the fourth game in the K9.5 series of educational video games produced for the PlayStation by Lightspan. This game is designed to improve reading / language arts skill. The player has four learning objectives:
- Identify parts of speech
- Identify the predicate and the subject of a sentence
- Identify direct objects, indirect objects, and prepositional phrases
- Identify complete sentences, sentence fragments, and run-on sentences
The player can help five characters, Ella, Gershwyn, Maxine, Riff, and Theo get ready for a concert by programming lights, cameras, and the backdrop projector while learning about parts of speech and grammar. Dogs are the theme of this title.[1]
As with all Lightspan games, this title was not released to retail to the general public. Instead, it was only available to schools for educational purposes.
