Pixillion is a image converter developed by NCH Software for both Windows and Mac operating systems.[1] It supports wide range of file formats, including JPEG, PNG, WebP, SVG, PSD, TGA, TIFF, RAW, HEIC, PDF, etc.[2][3][4] Pixillion allows to convert or compress thousands of photos at once.[5] It offers a free version for non-commercial use as well as a premium version.[1]

Features

It offers a range of features to enhance digital photographs, including the ability to rotate, resize, and compress images, as well as add captions or watermarks for personalization and protection.[6][7] It can convert from over 40 file formats.[8] It software allows to update image metadata. It also supports batch conversion, preserving vector graphics and integrating with the right-click menu for conversions.[9] The preview feature allows to adjust settings.[10][11]

Controversy

In the past, NCH Software used to include optional browser plugins, such as the Google Chrome toolbar and the Conduit toolbar, with Pixillion and other software products.[12] However, this practice led to user complaints and raised concerns from antivirus software companies like Norton and McAfee, which identified them as potential malware.[13] Subsequently, NCH Software has eliminated all toolbars, browsers, and third-party app offerings from every version of Pixillion.[14]
