The Axys Adventures: Truth Seeker is a Christian video game created by Rebel Planet Creations released exclusively in North America. The game won the Christian Game of the Year award for 2007 at the Christian Game Developers Conference.[1]

Gameplay

The Axys Adventures: Truth Seeker is an action-adventure game with elements of puzzle-solving and 3D platform levels. The player controls Axys with third-person perspective, who can navigate through levels (running, jumping, climbing, hanging), attack enemies (with swords or by firing RPG-style magic-like projectiles), solve level puzzles (slide puzzles, hangman-style word puzzle), obtain collectable gems (usable as currency), and rescue NPC penguins.

Story

Upon awakening on the morning of the yearly festival, teenager Axys and the people of Pacifico Island are shocked by the disappearance of their once-beautiful vegetation. Colorful flowers and soft green grass have been overrun by ugly, rough weeds. The unwelcome plants have invaded the farms and are threatening to eat away the islanders' crops and even fight back in resistance. As the Island is being overrun, Axys must battle the weeds and uncover the secrets that will stop the weeds from ever returning.

Reception

Reviews are generally positive among Christian game review websites,[2] citing similarities of gameplay with The Legend of Zelda,[3] and approving the contents with "[no] doubt that this is a Christian game."[4]
