Bothrops microphthalmus, or the small-eyed toad-headed pitviper, is a species of venomous snake in the family Viperidae.[2] The species is endemic to northwestern South America.[3]
Geographic range
B. microphthalmus is found in Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia (countries listed from north to south).
The type locality is "between Balsa Puerto and Moyabamba, Peru".[1]
