Evarcha brinki is a jumping spider species in the genus Evarcha.[1] It has more similarities with Evarcha species from China, like Evacha sichuanensis and Evarcha orientalis, than many African species.[2]
Etymology
The specific name is in honor of South African novelist André Brink.[2]
Description
The species was described in 2011 based on a single male holotype; the type locality was near Prieska, Northern Cape. It is small, with a yellow-orange carapace 2.5 mm (0.098 in) long and an abdomen 2.1 mm (0.083 in) long which is pale yellow with black spots.[2]
Distribution
The species has been found in South Africa .[1]
