Neoscorpis lithophilus, the Stone-bream, is a species of sea chub native to the Indian Ocean coast of Africa where it can be found along rocky coasts from Mozambique to South Africa . This species grows to a length of 50 centimetres (20 in) SL though most do not exceed 18 centimetres (7.1 in). The greatest recorded weight for this fish is 2.6 kilograms (5.7 lb). This species is commercially important and is also popular as a game fish. This species is the only known member of its genus.[1]
