Ptychoglossus is a genus of New World lizards in the family Alopoglossidae.

Geographic range and habitat

Species in the genus Ptychoglossus range from Costa Rica through Peru and Brazil ,[2] being usually restricted to forested habitats.[citation needed]

Nota bene: A binomial authority in parentheses indicates that the species was originally described in a genus other than Ptychoglossus.
