The Sindh thread snake (Myriopholis blanfordi) is a species of harmless blind snake in the family Leptotyphlopidae. The species is endemic to India and the Middle East.
Etymology
M. blanfordi is named after English naturalist William Thomas Blanford (1832–1905), member of the Geological Survey of India.[3]
Subspecies
There are no subspecies of M. blanfordi that are currently recognized as being valid.[4][2]
Geographic range
M. blanfordi is found in India , Pakistan (Baluchistan and North-West Frontier Province), Afghanistan, possibly Iran, south to Mecca through the Arabian Peninsula from Aden through Yemen. The type locality given is "Sind" [Punjab, India].[1]
