Thamnodynastes almae is a species of snake in the family Colubridae. The species is endemic to Brazil .[2][3]
Etymology
The specific name, almae, is in honor of Brazilian herpetologist Sylvia Alma Renata Lemos Romano-Hoge.[4]
Geographic range
T. almae is found in the Brazilian states of Alagoas, Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, and Rio Grande do Norte.[2]
Habitat
The preferred natural habitat of T. almae is shrubland.[1]
Description
Pale in coloration for its genus, T almae has keeled dorsal scales, which are arranged in 19 rows at midbody and in 15 rows posteriorly.[5]
Reproduction
T. almae is viviparous.[2]
