Iodocubane is a chemical compound in which one hydrogen atom in the cubane molecule is replaced by iodine.
Extraction and preparation
Iodocubane can be prepared by Barton decarboxylation of cubane-1-iodo-4-carboxylic acid methyl ester.[1]
Use
Iodocubane is employed in the synthesis of other monosubstituted cubanes.[1]
