CoinRemitter is a Singaporean cryptocurrency payment service provider. It was founded in 2017 and enables merchants to accept payments in various cryptocurrencies.
History
CoinRemitter was founded in Singapore in 2017.[1]
By November 2021, the service had more than 30,000 registered users and had processed more than 10.22 million transactions.[1]
In April 2024, the company reported more than 38,000 merchants and more than 12 million transactions processed.[2]
In February 2025, a SQL injection vulnerability (CVE-2025-1117) was reported in versions 0.0.1 and 0.0.2 of its OpenCart plugin. It was fixed in version 0.0.3.[3]
Services
CoinRemitter allows merchants to accept cryptocurrency payments through a REST API, web interface, and plugins for e-commerce platforms such as WooCommerce, Magento, OpenCart, PrestaShop, and WHMCS. It also supports invoices and payment widgets.[4][5]
It supports cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Binance Coin, Tether (on ERC-20 and TRC-20 networks), Dogecoin, and Dash.[6]
The service charges a 0.23% processing fee on withdrawals (plus blockchain network fees) and does not require identity verification (KYC) or a linked bank account.[7]
Recognition
CoinRemitter has been included in several online review lists of cryptocurrency payment gateways published between 2024 and 2026.[5][7][6]
A 2025 peer-reviewed paper lists CoinRemitter as one example of a crypto-asset payment gateway that processes merchant payments, provides real-time confirmations, wallet storage, blockchain encryption, and integration with e-commerce platforms.[8]
