The BYD Qin Max (Chinese: 比亚迪秦Max) is a battery electric and plug-in hybrid mid-size sedan produced by BYD Auto. The Qin Max is the flagship of BYD's affordable Qin sedan range, positioned above the Qin L. The Qin Max is built on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo battery electric platform. It is BYD's Dynasty Series product line-up. It is part of the BYD Qin series.[3][4]

History

Rear view

The Qin Max was launched in August 2026 in China,[5] while China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has released the catalog of the Qin Max BEV as early as December 2025.[6]

Design and equipment

The exterior of the Qin Max adopts the series’ Dragon Face design language, with dimensions and proportions similar to the Qin L EV. The Qin Max features BYD's flash-charging technology with BYD’s new Blade Battery 2.0 and Flash Charging system that allows charging from 10% to 70% in five minutes, and it is equipped with the God’s Eye B intelligent driving assistance system. The Qin Max uses a MacPherson front suspension and a five-link independent rear suspension setup. Higher trim levels could be equipped with the DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system providing road preview capabilities.[7]

The battery electric version of the Qin Max has a rear-positioned motor with a peak power of 240 kW (322 hp) or 120 kW, while the DM-i plug-in hybrid version of the Qin Max utilizes the fifth-generation DM technology with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine and a 175 kW front-positioned motor.[1]
