Social:Scientific Neo-romanticism

From HandWiki

Scientific Neo-Romanticism [1]refers to the interplay between the scientific discoveries and the broader Romantic movement in art, literature, and philosophy. Scientific Neo-Romanticism aims to unify self-understanding, scientific knowledge, emotional connection to nature, and the roles of consciousness, spirituality, imagination, and creativity in scientific discovery. Carl Sagan and Richard Feynman both conveyed the idea that science is not a cold, lifeless process, but a deeply emotional and spiritual journey toward understanding reality.

Compared to the 19th and 20th-century Scientific Romanticism (see Romanticism in science), Scientific Neo-Romanticism is the modern evolution of this style that places greater emphasis on consciousness, spirituality, and the concept of informational reality of the modern era of computers and quantum computations.

The spirit of Scientific Neo-Romanticism speaks to a growing longing-for meaning, for wonder, and for a deeper sense of connection in a world increasingly defined by data and code. In an age of accelerating knowledge, this movement reminds us that the most profound discoveries are not only calculated-they are felt. Watching these new expressions of Romanticism through science, art and the information reality. It invites us to reconnect with the awe that first inspired human curiosity. It is, in every sense of the word, a truly romantic journey based on the knowledge of this universe.

History

The Scientific Neo-Romanticism style was introduced by scientist Dr. S.V.Chekanov in 2024, following the publication of his book The Designed World of Information: Unveiling the Incredible Realm Beyond[2].

The Designed World's channel on YouTube [3], is one of the examples of the Scientific Neo-Romanticism style. It blends visual storytelling with narrative and music in approximately equal proportions (roughly 0.3:0.3:0.3), exploring themes of science interpretation, romanticism, and spirituality. Voice and music are typically mixed at similar volume levels to maximize emotional impact. The video stories based on this book were accompanying by an Australian composer Scott Buckley, who released his library tracks under the cinematic Creative Commons.
