Good Job! is a 2020 puzzle video game developed[1] by Paladin Studios and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch on March 26, 2020. The player controls a megacorporation CEO's son in completing exaggerated office tasks in destructive playground-style puzzles to climb the corporate ladder.[2] The game received "generally favorable" reviews, according to review aggregator Metacritic.[3]
Gameplay
The player controls an unnamed character to complete office tasks through unusual means, such as using slingshots to crash objects through walls, or carrying people with forklifts to transport them from one place to another. The gameplay is broken up into levels, and completion of levels allows the player character to ascend the corporate hierarchy. The player is graded based on completion time and how much damage is done in each task.
Development
Nintendo and Paladin Studios ended up working together in 2017 after Nintendo of America and Nintendo EPD visited the studio to discuss about working on a project together. It was requested by Nintendo for the developers to work on an experimental game and the end result was Good Job!, in which it was agreed for the prototype to be polished and become a full game.[4]
