Software:PhotoPad

From HandWiki

PhotoPad is a raster and vector graphics editing software program developed by NCH Software for Windows and Mac OS. Originally released as freeware between 2011 and 2012, it is also available for mobile devices running Android OS. PhotoPad can be used for basic and advanced image editing purposes such as cropping, flipping, and rotating photos, creating collages, adjusting colors, applying special effects, and removing blemishes.[1]

PhotoPad supports all the most popular image file formats including JPEG, GIF, TIFF, BMP, and PNG. It is currently available in both free and paid software versions, where the free version comes with certain limitations as opposed to the paid version which offers unrestricted use of all available features.

Features

PhotoPad supports a wide range of photo editing features including crop, rotate, resize, and flip. It also has built-in tools to touch up photos and remove blemishes, focus with blur, reduce noise, and sharpen photos.

PhotoPad also offers advanced image editing options such as the ability to add color to black and white photos instantly and the ability to resize images without losing quality through the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence (A.I.).

Other image editing features include background replacement, making collages, applying filters, editing RAW images, adding text, creating HDR composites, and creating a calendar composed only of imported photos.

Controversy

For a time, Express Zip and a number of other NCH Software products came bundled with optional browser plugins like the Google Chrome toolbar and the Conduit toolbar.[2] These caused users to complain and also triggered malware warnings from AV software companies such as Norton and McAfee.[3] NCH Software has since removed all toolbars, browsers, and third-party app offerings in all Express Zip versions released from July 2015 onwards.[4]
