Where is my Train is a smartphone app developed by Google for Indian Railways. The application was created by Sigmoid Labs,[1] a team of former TiVo Corporation developers. The company was acquired by Google[1][2][3] in 2018. Founded by Subhajit Mandal
History
Where is my Train app was released in 2015 for Android. It uses cell tower data to track train locations and operates offline, without internet or GPS.[4] In 2018, the app received a nomination for India's Best Apps of 2018 in the Play Store.[5]
