Hydrops triangularis, commonly known as the water false coral snake,[3] triangle water snake, triangle watersnake,[2] or water coral,[4] is a species of snake endemic to northern South America and the Amazon Basin.[1][2]
Geographic range
Hydrops triangularis is found in Venezuela, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Suriname, French Guiana, Colombia, Brazil , eastern Ecuador, eastern Peru, and northern Bolivia.[2]
Description
Hydrops triangularis reaches a maximum size of about 78 cm (31 in).[4]
Diet
Hydrops triangularis feeds on eels (especially synbranchids)[3] and other freshwater fish[4] (especially elongated species).[3]
