Liolaemus etheridgei is a species of lizard in the family Liolaemidae.[1] The species is native to Peru.

Etymology

The specific name, etheridgei, is in honor of American herpetologist Richard Emmett Etheridge.[2]

Geographic range

Within Peru, L. etheridgei is found in the Regions (formerly Departments) of Arequipa[3][1] and Moquegua.[3]

Habitat

The preferred natural habitats of L. etheridgei are shrubland and grassland, at altitudes of 2,400–4,269 m (7,874–14,006 ft).[3]

Diet

L. etheridgei preys upon insects.[3]

Reproduction

L. etheridgei is viviparous.[3][1]
