Acetyl tributyl citrate is an organic compound that is used as a plasticizer. As such, it is a potential replacement of DEHP and DINP.[citation needed] It is a colorless liquid that is soluble in organic solvents. As of 2019, it was the most widely used acetyl trialkyl citrate in cosmetics.[1]

Preparation

It is prepared by acetylation of tributyl citrate.[2]
